You can see that right on their labs. How is Our Type II Diabetes Reversal Program Different?

How’s your program different than what I have done or I am doing right now?

The answer is simple.

Currently if you were in pharmacological model, you’re being treated for symptoms and/or lab values and are being given medication to cover up the symptoms which are just gonna bully your body’s physiology to make your labs look normal. We called this treating the smoke versus treating the fire.

A good analogy if your smoke alarm went off in your house and it was bothering you and you just took it out the ceiling. No more alarms, no symptoms. But you didn’t find out where the fire was or what was causing your issue. This is the model most of you were in. Covering up presenting the smoke versus our program which is finding the fire i.e what is causing the smoke? We do this through testing, very very thorough testing.

It’s quite possible the right tests haven’t been run in your case. To find how to treat the fire, call the number you see on the screen to see if you qualify for one of our dinner workshops or in office consultation. Thank you.

Diabetes is an issue of Blood Vessels

In dealing with many diabetic patients, I am constantly puzzled that they don’t know the most common complications from actually having diabetes. You may or may not know but diabetes is not a blood sugar issue. It’s a blood vessel issue.

The failure of the body to regulate the blood sugar is just the symptom. But the complications are from the blood vessel issues.
The No. 1 complications for type 2 diabetes are having a heart attack as well as high blood pressure.

The No. 2 complication is Stroke depending on the source. Diabetics are 2 to 4 times more likely to have a stroke – blood vessels to the brain, kidney failure, and problems to the blood vessels to the liver and kidney, blindness, amputation.
Imputation is actually the no. 1 non-accident related reason for amputation.

If you or someone you know and love are struggling and want to reverse or improve their condition. Please have them give us a call and invite them to our Diabetes Reversal Dinner or in Office Consultation to see if they are qualified.

Why Don't I Lose Weight Despite a Good Diet and Exercise?

Hello, I’m Dr. Wander from Integrated Health Center of Maryland located in Rockville, Maryland. It’s in the suburb in the Washington DC area covering Maryland, Northern Virginia, and obviously the DC area. Another common question we got asked is “why can’t I lose weight despite diet and exercise. Well first of all we will never base the decision or recommendation on your case base on your weight. However, we will focus on the cause of your disease and once this gets addressed, a really nice side effect is typically quick and safe weight loss. Not only weight loss on the scale but noticeable changes on how your clothes fit. And I usually say this, you can’t out exercise or out diet hormones, the hormones will win every time. But another thing that understands this is the same foods are not healthy for every single person. So it’s not a one size fits our program. Typically that’s the matter you’re in now. You have certain set of symptoms and love values and all you get is the same meds and the outcomes are not good. If you’re interested in a new model where each person is specific to each patient, please give our office a call to see if we can consider taking your case. Thank you.

What SHOULD Eat As a Type II Diabetic?

Hey guys welcome back. One of the most common questions I’m asked is “what do I eat or what should I eat?” The answer is that depends. I mean you don’t need me to tell you that you probably shouldn’t eat cupcakes, choco chip cookies, and French fries. The real answer is; it depends on what causes immune system responses with you. And that could be broccoli, onions, basil, anything. And that’s why to reverse your condition, you need a specific plan that includes food for you. And that wouldn’t be the same for everyone. For more information, call the number you see on the screen to see if you qualify for our free dinner workshop.

What Kind of Testing Do You Do for Type II Diabetics?

Welcome back. I’m Dr. Steve Wander of Integrated Health Center of Maryland. Another common question I get is “Doc you told me I haven’t tested properly but what test are you gonna do? “ Well testing is the key on finding the cause of your disease. And obviously the results will be different for each person. Therefore the treatment plan will be different and herein lies the reasons for our success. The treatment plans are drawn from the ground up and it’s different for each individual. What a novel idea, treat each patient as an individual. We’re going to test your adrenals, which are your stress organ. There are 7 different levels of adrenals for thee. Each level requires different treatment. We’re gonna test your gut.

Some doctors say that 80% of your immune system is in your gut and when we test it typically we find parasites, pin worms, Candida, yeast, bad bacteria, not enough good bacteria and many other things. As sue in your gut for a lot better works. We’ll test your liver, your kidneys, your urine. We’ll do a food sensitivity test to see if certain “healthy foods” are actually causing the immune system reaction and therefore causing triggers to your issue. If you’re interested in specific treatment plan based on your testing and on your result, call our office to see if you qualify for us to see if we’ll be considered taking your case. Thank you.

Weight Has Nothing To Do With Type II Diabetes

This is Dr. Wander of Integrated Health Center of Maryland. I’m constantly told my patients that their doctor had told them to follow this instructions: lose weight, change your diet, and exercise. Now then I ask, “Well what you were told to do to lose weight and which exercises?” And I’m typically met that from a patient with a blank stare. From seeing many many patients, that’s how the majority are counseled for the rest of their life. And the number of diabetics and pre-diabetics just keeps growing and growing and growing.

First of all, your weight has nothing to do with your diabetic condition. It isn’t the cause and sure it isn’t the cure. Yes, you’ll need to eat the proper foods but it won’t be the same for everyone. To get more information, give us a call to the number you see on the screen and we’ll look forward to helping you. Thank you.

Functional medicine is personalized medicine for each patient that deals with primary prevention and underlying causes instead of just symptom-based care for serious chronic disease.

It is a science-based field of health care that is grounded in the following philosophies:

Patient-centered medicine is geared towards “patient care” vs “disease care.” Extensive testing to find out which organ systems are involved in the disease processes. Health as a positive vitality – not merely the absence of disease or symptoms.

By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of a traditional medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just your symptoms.

We spend time with our patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. The proven treatments provided by our Center provide for an individualized treatment plan for the specific causes of that unique individual’s disease.
